Fast sketch, drawn and coloured in Open Canvas. Took about an hour? The drawing is bad, but for a quickie it'll do.

Shamus <3 the sea, but Sophie is like 'AHHH, LOBSTERS.'

I love this picture, the joyful and peaceful feeling it brings to me. The characters' faces look so fun. I like the guy and his smile, why the girl is so scared?
Quick draw but still good. Admirable!

Hot diggity! It may be a quick sketch but it still conveys the feel very well. It's not just a picture, it's a slice of life. I'd take this piece over other more rendered and static images any day.

You're stuff's great. why's it so great? My theory involves voo-Doo and punching nazis... If I'm off base here, feel free to tell me, but I think I've got it right.

Sophie should take up wading in fresh water. Lake Ontario, maybe. Worst wildlife she'll come across is a broken bottle.

Goddamnit I love your art. I was afraid you'd vanished from the online world altogether. As with prior pieces, this one carries that sense of ';place' that seems to be your signature.

I swear, just one of your pics has more life than the entire majority of this art site.

Thanks, man, I think that's one of the best compliments one can get about their work <3. I'm still around online, but I've been so busy at work I haven't had much time to really browse around or post things XD.

The pleasure is all mine :)

And hey, I'm just glad to see you still showing up from time to time. What are you doing so far as work these days? Last I heard, you were a pilot.

Yep, a pilot and flying for a living now! I'm mostly working as a flight instructor, with sightseeing flights on the side - it's fun work, particularly in the summer. When it's not thunderstorming, anyway XD.

Right on! I remember taking to the skies being one of your dreams way back, I'm glad you got to fulfill it (thunderstorms aside). :)

What kind of plane do you man primarily? For that matter, when you go through a storm, how do you avoid taking strikes?

Mostly I'm flying either a Cessna 172 or a 152 these days! They're both good training aircraft, and good to fly beyond that. I actually like the 2-seater 152 more, it's a fun little airplane XD.

And whew, as for thunderstorms, to be honest with you we stay far, farrr away from them! If there's one within 20 miles, we stay grounded- they're just too dangerous to deal with. It's not just the lightning either- the unpredictable and violent winds + frequent hails is even more dangerous :/.

I looked up the planes, and my first reaction was: "Didn't I see that model in Tintin?" and then looked up it's year of 'birth' to find it was in the 50s, so yeah, I -did- see it in Tintin. Which makes it that much more awesome. :)
I'm pretty sure I've seen them around here at the local airports too. I can imagine they handle pretty well to have been such a success.

I didn't even think about the wind factor in storms. I've been close to them in the ol' 747 tourist transporters, and didn't quite enjoy the 'left your stomach several inches to the left' sensation, so I'm surprised the wind issue isn't burnt into my mind. With a lighter plane like the 172, I can certainly understanding getting the hell out of the way of one.

Well, good to see ya back :) Glad you're living it up :D
